Sacked iGate CEO replaced

One of country's esteemed IT outsourcing company iGate Corp has a new CEO. Former Global Head of Manufacturing and Engineering Services at Infosys, Ashok Vemuri has been appointed for iGate's top job.

The appointment comes four months then CEO Phaneesh Murthy  was sacked over sexually harassing a subordinate.

“Vemuri, who was widely considered a contender to succeed Infosys' Chief Executive S D Shibulal, will also join iGate's board,” revealed a leading publishing house.

Interim President and CEO Gerhard Watzinger will remain with iGate as a temporary advisor to assist in the transition.
