WSJ reports iPhone 5S in summer

Apple might be looking at summer 2013 to take on its arch rival Samsung which "unpacked" its Samsung Galaxy S4 and said that it would be out in summer, well before Apple would generally release its new iterations. Apple, according to reports from Wall Street Journal, might dodge a heavy blow from Samsung by planning for an advanced launch date in summer.

Another cheaper model is also expected save your pockets from burns with the pricing range being in the mid section. The WSJ mentioned that there were reputable sources who have confirmed such a manufacturing in place already. It is expectations that the Cupertino based company will release this model in Summer along with the 5S model too.

The report conforms to the previous predictions. Without a cheaper model, Apple might lose a lot of potential market share. The newer version of iPhone, iPhone 5, is around $600 and the older version which are still available are not cheap enough to compete with the less expensive yet high performing smartphones based on Android OS by Google.

WSJ quotes that the Apple iPhone 5S will go into production in 3 months and the Asian countries will manufacture and assemble the components of the phone.

As always, Apple didn't respond to the reports from WSJ.
