Free WiFi Hotspots in Bangalore

India's IT capital Bangalore is going to get some highly desired features like free wireless internet at the popular places. The Mahatma Gandhi Road and Brigade Road which are the most frequented shopping destinations would be WiFi enabled soon with free services for all the people and soon other big destinations will be included in the list.

Government is planning the developments based on the ideas of a former Infosys director, Mohandas Pai. Pilot services will begin soon and will be continued for six months. Later an evaluation will help the government understand what kind of service expansion and chanves would be required.

This is a highly welcome move wih the rising need for connectivity in the nation. Smartphones are growing by the minute and there is problem of connectivity in the country. "We wanted to provide seamless internet access to people," said Pai.

D-VoiS would be the service provider as per the recommendations which were passed last year. Changes will be made after the pilot period of testing when the government will move toward the private ISPs and discuss a revenue sharing model.

Imagine being able to just Google the product that you want to purchase, places you want to go, directions to places or merely stay in touch with your friends at places where there is no proper network service. These services are purely gold in times of need.
