Facebook to own Whatsapp after Instagram

Whatsapp is has replaced several million's messaging application while offering services for free and one can use it limitlessly as TRAI implications are not applicable to the app that is popular with iOS, Android and Blackberry users. With over a billion messages sent every day, this is also the most used messaging app. Recent reports as mentioned by TechCrunch report that the app would soon be owned by the biggest social networking organization, Facebook.

The site mentioned that Facebook was already negotiating the ownership of Whatsapp application. TechCrunch on its site mentioned, "We're still digging around on potential price and other details about how advanced the deal is. But as mobile becomes the latest battleground in the Internet's game of thrones, you can see how such a deal could make sense".

With the lack of a efficient dedicated messaging app for the networking site, acquisition of Whatsapp could prove to be a great move for FB while integrating the profiles with the social networking accounts. The current Facebook Messenger has been espoused by many for other alternatives since the performance of the app was terrible and unreliable.
