Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 to be unveiled on August 15

Samsung the South Korean smartphone leader in the market has unveiled details regarding the Samsung Note 10.1 tablet several months ago in the Mobile World Congress. However the phone has not made it to the market yet, but it has been speculated that it would be on the shelves in August 15th.

Samsung Electronics has already revealed that they would launch a new device on August 15th but there was no reference to any device specifically; they have also not revealed if the new device is a tablet or a smartphone.

Analysts say that the new device would be a tablet since the company would not release a new smartphone that could potentially jeopadise the current sales of its flag bearer, Samsung Galaxy S III. This could be an indirect and subtle hint that the much awaited Galaxy Note 10.1 is the gadged underneath the curtains. Another subtler hint is that the mail was sent from the Samsung Electronics America which generally concentrates on tablets and non-smartphone devices.

Like its predecessor, Galaxy Note 10.1 has a S pen that can be used on an improved and increased screen of 10.1 inches. The new S Note feature has the capacity to merge the notes, sketches and web content together to make a personalized storyboard.

It comes preloaded with templates for minutes, recipes, cards, dairy and magazines. Shape Match on the note helps the identification of the hand-drawn shapes to be converted to the digital shapes and hence makes it easier for the creation of storyboards, idea sketches and many more.

The highlight of the S pen is that it has varied pressure sensitivity and had higher accuracy and control whether it is writing or editing which make its closer to the experience of using a normal pen on a tablet.

It comes loaded with the Ice Cream Sandwich Andriod v4.0 OS and is 3G capable. However the users cannot use it to make voice calls like the smaller version of the Samsung Galaxy Note. Powered with a 1.4 GHz dual core processor, GLONASS and GPS functions this mobile is on its way to becoming a highly popular business Tablet.
