Patna Pirates Beat Panthers 37-29; Won The Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 Trophy

Riding on Pradeep Narwal’s outstanding performance, Patna Pirates registered thumping win over Jaipur Pink Panthers 37-29 in the final of the Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League season 4 and became the champions of Pro Kabaddi League 2016 at Gacchibowli Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday.

The finale began in front of the packed stadium where people are cheering hard for the Final Panga of the season. Panthers initiating the process, took Pradeep Narwal out of the game to level the score 2-2 in the fourth minute. Subsequently, Rajesh Narwal scored a super raid to provide 6-2 lead to panthers. Countering the situation, Patna Pirates successfully inflicted the first super tackle as they were leading 5-6 in the 7th minute.

Pradeep Narwal scored few back-to-back points as after 10 minutes Pirates were leading 9-6. After the 10th minute it was impossible for Panthers to control Narwal as he scored various points continuously. In the 15th minute Patna Pirates inflicted an all out to lead 16-11. Although Jasvir Singh’s points leveled the game at 16-16, Patna Pirates scored a super tackle at the last few seconds of the first half and ended the first half at 19-16.

Later, in the second half, Pradeep Narwal continued his form and gained super 10 in the 29th minute as Patna Pirates were leading 25-19. Ajay Kumar scored two points in 32nd minute but Patna Pirates inflicted an all out to lead 27-22. An another all out was also pushed by Pirates to lead 31-23. In the last few minutes, Panthers tried to get back in the game and till the 38th minute Panthers had cut the deficit with seven points. But star raider Pradeep Narwal again scored a two-point raid to confirm the win for Patna Pirates at 37-29.
