Djokovic lifts Aussie Open

Serbian Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open 2015 title on Sunday final, defeating England's Andy Murray. With 7-6 (5), 6-7 (4), 6-3, 6-0, Djokovic lifted his fifth Australian Open trophy and is inching closer to Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer with eight Grand slam titles to his credits. Unlucky, Murray had to wait for yet another year to get his first Australian Open title and this is his fourth defeat in the final.

In the mixed doubles segment, India's Leander Paes who teamed with Martina Hingis won the title with 6-4, 6-3 scores over France’s Kristina Mladenovic and Canada’s Daniel Nestor. This is Paes's 15th Grand slam title. Ironically, Martina Hingis has also teamed with India's Mahesh Bhupathi in 2006 and won the title.

Before the match began, Andy Murray’s fiancée, Kim Sears, caused a stir. She was dressed in an oversized T-shirt with a message that poked fun, which read read: “Parental Advisory Explicit Content.” This is first title for Novak Djokovic after becoming father recently.
