PV Sindhu Wins Gold at BWF World Championship: Indian ace shuttler PV Sindhu creates history after she created history to win a gold at the BWF World Championship. PV Sindhu is the first Indian shuttler to achieve this. PV Sindhu became only the 4th singles player ever to have a full set of world championship medals. PV Sindhu who is on five took on 3rd seed and former champion Nozomi Okuhara and registered a stunning victory. The final was over in just 32 minutes. Sindhu won it 21-7, 21-7 in just 38 minutes to become the first Indian to win a gold at the BWF World Championships.

PV Sindhu showed pure domination right from the first second and the match got completed in just 38 minutes. It was arguably the most one-sided final in the history of the sport. Sindhu was in danger of crashing out in the quarter-finals with Tai Tzu Ying but she fought back and registered a decent victory. In the semi-final, Chen Yufei was blown away. The whole country appreciated the efforts and achievements of PV Sindhu. Sindhu said that she dedicates this award to her mom who celebrated her birthday yesterday. PV Sindhu is the second women shuttler to have five medals and third shuttler to have medals in all three colours. The country is now proud of PV Sindhu's achievement.
