Australia Beat India By 34 Runs In The First ODI:- After Team India dominated Australia in the test series, the home team managed to take a lead in the one day series after they won the first one day by 34 runs. Australia won the toss and elected to bat first. Australia managed to make 288 for the loss of 5 wickets in the first ODI in 50 overs. Usman Khawaja (59), Shaun Marsh (54), Peter Handscomb (73) and Marcus Stoinis (47) shined with the bat. Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2/66) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/54) have been successful with the ball.

India star opener Rohit Sharma tasted a century but his 133 from 129 balls could not help Team India end up victorious. MS Dhoni (51) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (29) have been decent and none of the Indian batsmen could make any impact. India ended up making 254 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs. Jhye Richardson (4/26), Jason Behrendorff (2/39) and Marcus Stoinis (2/66) managed to get a dent to Indian batting. The second ODI will take place on January 15th.
