Komatireddy to take up indefinite fast from Nov 1
Former Minister Komatireddy Venkatareddy said today he would take up indefinite fast for the sake of Telangana from Nov 1.
Speaking at a Telangana Dhoom Dham programme in Nalgonda, he said he would not hesitate to sacrifice his life for the sake of Telangana if the government tries to stop his fast.
Meanwhile, the JAC of the Telangana People’s Organizations charged the Telangana Political JAC of weakening the mass general strike with its wrong decisions. “The political JAC has been only aiming at the Congress and the TDP in the agitation,” said Mr Bellaiah Naik, chairman of the JAC in a press conference in Hyderabad.
Mr Naik said that KCR and Kodanda Ram could never bring the Telangana state and promised to work for the division of the state and create a Telangana of social justice by carrying out the struggle with the help of all caste based leaders.
Meanwhile, the government has been planning to take the Telangana NGO Union leaders to Delhi to arrange a meeting with the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh. The NGO leaders have been demanding an assurance from the Prime Minister on the formation of Telangana state.
