Karimnagar police said today that the Congress MP Mr Ponnam Prabhakar has escaped from police custody after being arrested.

Police said they had registered cases against Prabhakar under sections 224 and 356 of Cr PC for escaping from their custody. Earlier, police had arrested Prabhakar and former minister Jeevan reddy at Jammikunta railway station when they had barged onto the platform and tried to stop the trains along with scores of congress supporters.

They were then taken to Manakonduru police station and kept there. Police said Mr Prabhakar escaped from the police station later.

Railway police complaint against KCR, Kodanda

Railway police have lodged a complaint against Telangana political JAC convener Prof Kodanda Ram and TRS Chief Mr KCR in the one town police station of Nizamabad saying they have provoked people across Telangana into occupying railway tracks and obstructing the moment of trains.

The police have registered cases against the two leaders based on the complaint of the railway police officials.
