Jagannath Rath Yatra July 29, 2017 16:47

Jagannath Rath Yatra:- Ratha Yatra or Ratha Jatra or Chariot Festival (drawing the chariot of Hindu deities) is a common event in India, but when we talk about the Rath Yatra of Puri (chariot pulling ceremony) then it becomes a gathering of millions. The festival is mainly associated with Lord Jagannath held at Puri in the state of Odisha, India. This is one of the most sought after Spiritual Centres in India. The festival takes place in the Hindu month of Ashada (July) on the second day of the new moon when the three deities of the temple namely Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra are taken out of the main temple for a procession which ends at Gundicha Temple. The gigantic chariots are adorned stunningly with bright colorful clothes, woods and decorative elements and designed in temple like structure. On these chariots, the main priests of Puri Temples also ride and hundreds of musical instruments are played. The three chariots are drawn by thousands of devotees together. After a week’s stay at Gundicha, the three deities are taken back to the main temple. The chariot festival of coming back is known as Bahuda Jatra. They visit their aunt’s abode which is known as Mausi Maa Temple, while coming back to the temple. It is believed that people having a glimpse of Jagannath Prabhu during Ratha Yatra or touching the rope of the chariot gain the fortune of many pious deeds. However, those who can have a glimpse of the deities in Gundicha derive the benefits of Ashwamedha Yagna. - History of Rath Yatra Rath Yatra is organized every year due to the belief that every year Lord Krishna has a wish of visiting his birth place which is in Mathura for a few days. This is why every year this yatra is conducted starting from Jagannath Temple to Gundicha Temple so as to fulfill his wish. Appendicitis - A Digestive Disorder July 29, 2017 16:00

Appendicitis - A Digestive Disorder:- The digestive system is essential to helping your body break down food so that it can adequately retrieve nutrients and vitamins, while also getting rid of waste. It is composed of the following organs - mouth, esophagus, liver, stomach, gallbladder, small and large intestines, pancreas, anus and rectum. You may experience uncomfortable symptoms, when something is disturbed within the digestive system. Some problems are serious enough to warrant a visit to a gastroenterologist, a specialist that works with digestive issues. Others are simply related to lifestyle habits. Common digestive problems include heartburn/GERD, IBD, and IBS. Symptoms may include bloating, diarrhea, gas, stomach pain, and stomach cramps. Treatment includes a combination of medication and lifestyle changes. Here, we will discuss about the common digestive disorder, that is Appendicitis. - What Is Appendicitis? An inflammation of the appendix is generally termed as appendicitis. In this condition, a 3 1/2-inch-long tube of tissue extends from the large intestine. Appendicitis is a medical emergency that almost always requires prompt surgery to remove the appendix. If it is left untreated, an inflamed appendix will finally burst, or perforate, spilling infectious materials into the abdominal cavity. This can lead a serious inflammation of the abdominal cavity’s lining, the to peritonitis. If it is not treated quickly with strong antibiotics, the infection can be fatal. Sometimes, outside the inflamed appendix, a pus-filled abscess forms. The scar tissue then “walls off” the appendix from the rest of the abdomen, preventing infection from spreading. An abscessed appendix can explode or penetrate, and cause peritonitis. Almost all cases of appendicitis are treated as emergencies, requiring surgery, for this reason. - What Causes Appendicitis? Appendicitis occurs when the appendix becomes blocked, often by stool, a foreign body, or cancer. The infection may also occur from blockage, since in response to any infection in the body, the appendix can swell. - Symptoms of Appendicitis? The classic symptoms of appendicitis include: - Dull pain near the navel or the upper abdomen that becomes sharp as it moves to the lower right abdomen. This is usually the first sign. - Loss of appetiteNausea and/or vomiting soon after abdominal pain begins - Abdominal swelling - Fever of 99-102 degrees Fahrenheit - Inability to pass gas Other symptoms of appendicitis include : - Dull or sharp pain anywhere in the upper or lower abdomen, back, or rectum - Painful urination and difficulty passing urine - Vomiting that precedes the abdominal pain - Severe cramps - Constipation or diarrhea with gas If you have any of the mentioned symptoms, seek medical attention immediately, because timely diagnosis and treatment is very important. An inflamed appendix can rupture if you eat, drink, or use any pain remedies, antacids, laxatives, or heating pads. - How Is Appendicitis Diagnosed? Diagnosing appendicitis can be tricky. Symptoms of appendicitis are frequently vague or extremely similar to other ailments, including gallbladder problems, bladder or urinary tract infection, Crohn’s disease, gastritis, intestinal infection, and ovary problems. The following tests are usually used to help make the diagnosis: - Abdominal exam to detect inflammation - Urine test to rule out a urinary tract infection - Rectal exam - Blood test to see if your body is fighting infection - CT scans and/or ultrasound - How Is Appendicitis Treated? Surgery to remove the appendix, which is called an appendectomy, is the standard treatment for almost all cases of appendicitis. Doctors tend to err on the side of safety and quickly remove the appendix to avoid its rupture, generally, if appendicitis is suspected. If the appendix has formed an abscess, you may have two procedures: one to drain the abscess of pus and fluid, and a later one to remove the appendix. However, research showed that in some cases, treatment of minor appendicitis with antibiotics may eliminate the need for surgery. - Appendectomy: What to Expect Antibiotics are given before an appendectomy to fight possible peritonitis. General anesthesia is usually given, and the appendix is removed through a 4-inch incision or by laparoscopy. The abdomen is also irrigated and drained of pus, if you have peritonitis. Within 12 hours of surgery you may get up and move around. You can usually return to normal activities in two to three weeks. The incision is smaller and recovery is faster, if surgery is done with a laparoscope. After an appendectomy, call your doctor if you have: - Uncontrolled vomiting - Increased pain in your abdomen - Dizziness/feelings of faintness - Blood in your vomit or urine - Increased pain and redness in your incision - Fever - Pus in the wound - Can Appendicitis Be Prevented? There is no way to prevent appendicitis. However, people who eat foods high in fiber, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, the appendicitis may be less common. SUPRAJA

Changes You Need To Know In The Annual Tax Filing Exercise This Year July 29, 2017 12:35

Changes You Need To Know In The Annual Tax Filing Exercise This Year:- Like previous occasions, the Income Tax Department this year also has brought about many changes in the annual tax filing exercise. The tax filing has been quite a cumbersome practice for many. The I-T department has effected following changes, to make things easier for tax payers: 1) For both tax payers and those who do not fall under the range of income tax, the linking of Aadhaar with PAN has been made compulsory. Earlier, to file tax returns, only PAN was required. A taxpayer, from this year, will have to quote their Aadhaar number also. 2) A single-page, much more simplified ITR-1 or Sahaj form has been introduced by the Income tax department, for individual taxpayers whose income does not exceed Rs 50 lakh per year. 3) Individual taxpayers and Hindu Undivided Families who do not carry out a business or are part of a profession, are applicable for ITR-2. By merging erstwhile ITR-2, ITR-2A and ITR-3, the ITR-2 was made. 4) The ITR-3 is also for individual taxpayers and HUFs but this category is for those taxpayers who earn their income from a proprietary business or are part of a profession. This is not the case for ITR-2. This form has taken the place of ITR-4 that was applicable till last assessment year. 5) ITR-4 or Sugam form is for presumptive income from business and profession. This form has taken the place of ITR 4S or Sugam, which was earlier used for filing returns during 2015-16 assessment year. SUPRAJA

KCR Announces 1 Lakh Prize Money For Informers Against Drugs:- Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, as part of the government efforts to root out drugs from Telangana State, on Friday, announced a prize money of Rs 1 lakh for people who give information about supply of drugs including ganja. KCR also announced similar prize money for information provided on hookah centres, gambling dens and eve- teasing. He further assured that the names of informants would be kept confidential. He stated that, “Come forward and share the information with the police. Cooperate with the government and inform who is supplying the drugs. Though drug usage is not as severe as it is in other states, we need to nip it in the bud itself as the State has recorded 21% growth rate as well as secured number one position in maintenance of Law and Order.” Irrespective of their social or economic status, though the criminals who are supplying drugs will not be spared, the drugs users will be treated as victims and will not be harassed. The Chief Minister, at a high level meeting at Pragathi Bhavan on the ongoing drugs investigations, reiterated that the State government was committed to eradicating social evils from the State. He said that the investigation into the drugs case was being conducted in an in depth and transparent manner to ensure that distribution and use of banned drugs are nipped in the bud. He dismissed reports of large-scale drugs abuse in the State and that it had attained the level of menace. “Neither Telangana State nor Hyderabad city are among the list of top drug using places, but the government’s aim is to eradicate the supply of drugs at the entry level,” he asserted. Mr. KCR said the government had managed to eradicate illicit liquor and shut down hookah centres and gambling dens, even as SHE teams kept a tab on harassment of women. He wanted the officials not to spare those involved in adulteration and supply or manufacturing spurious seeds or fertilizers. “We chanced upon the information on drugs abuse while on the drive against food adulteration and hence, we need to put an end to this issue,” he added. He congratulated the officers concerned over making good progress in the case investigation and directed them to get to the root of the problem.
