World's tallest man 'Sultan Kosen' atlast stops growing

As known to every one the world's tallest man who measures 8ft 3 inches from Turkey none other than Sultan Kosen who is of 29-year-old has atlast stopped growing, Subsequently he was treated at a US hospital to restrict the production of growth hormone.

Guinness World Records placed him as the world's tallest living man.

Kosen received treatment at the University of Virginia Medical Center in May 2010 for treatment for a disorder called acromegaly, which is usually caused by a tumour in the pituitary gland.

Special equipment was flown in from Sweden to fit Kosen's larger skull, according to doctors.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, he was placed on a new medication that could potentially help control the production of growth hormone and stop his continued growth.

University officials now claim that Kosen has stopped growing.

The treatment will be noted in Guinness World Records.

Dr Jason Sheehan a brain surgeon from University of Virginia said that, "luckily he is done very very well".
