The glamorous actor Monica Bedi seems to be in the news for wrong reasons. The actor suffered a major setback for having an alleged affair with a Mumbai Don, earlier. On her come trail into the industry, Monica had some offers from the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu tinsel worlds. More than that, her eventful life had inspired many film makers across the country. The actor gained no prominence from any of her assignments, but is in the lime light with a complaint filed by her Nepali Director Akash Pandey. He alleged that the starlet sent him threatening SMS in payment controversy. Knowing her past connections the frightened Director filed the complaint. The actor as usual denied the whole issue.
In his complaint, Pandey stated that Monica has been bombarding him with threatening SMS, one of which says: "U guys have to pay now, otherwise I will see u." He continued that, "Knowing her past, I fear that she might try to harm me and hence I preferred to file a non-cognizable (NC) offence on Tuesday night against her. This is not a publicity stunt on my part as some have suggested. If that were the case, I would have tried it before the film's release in Nepal," said Pandey. Actually as per contract the actor was paid Rs 5 lakh as her fees, Rs 3 lakh were towards her costumes and another Rs 1.75 lakh for the staff, who accompanied her to Nepal. She was promised to be paid Rs.5lakhs additionally, if her film was released in India. But the film was not released yet and the actor started demanding the additional amount. The director also stated that, even if she is to receive payments, it will be from the producer and not from him. In the pretext felt that the heavy SMS were not required. He added, `I have been harassed with her SMSes for the last one month. Left with no option, I had to finally approach Oshiwara police station on Thursday and register an NC against her."
