FDI: All party bandh on September 20

With the Prime Minister announcing the much dreaded Foreign direct investments in the retail sector the whole political parties have turned their radar on the issue. Till yesterday it was the coal gate and today the radar is on this. Was it a wies move or was it a  cold diversion proposal, well only time will tell the difference. As of now the combined all party conglomerate will observe a nation wide bandh on September 20, exactly the day after the Ganesh Chaturthi.

At the center BJP vehemently opposed the move and dubbed it as the weakness of the UPA government which was bowing to pressures of the foreign brands. They also said that this will be suicidal for the home based employment sector. They added that the  decision to hike prices of diesel, LPG and allowing FDI in retail trade and the slew of measures announced shows their haste in fulfilling their agenda.

At the home fronts the situation is neither anything better. The local strong man Telugu Desam Party joins the furore with the national oppositions in opposing the diesel hike and FDI retail policy. To hold their dissent over the issue the TDP and the Left parties proposed to join the bandh call. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
