Sumalatha-Ambarish visit Tirumala

Commemorating the shahshtipurthy of their marriage, actors Ambareesh and Sumalatha have sought the blessings of Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy in Tirumala today. The couple, who arrived at Tirupati in the early hours today, have thronged the sanctum during morning break. Noted Tollywood actor Mohan Babu was also present along with the couple.
The couple expressed their happiness on having crossed sixty years of age. It may be noted that Sumalatha was a yesteryear actress who appeared in almost all south Indian language films predominantly in Telugu. She donned the roles of heroine in many of the films. She received critical acclaim for best supporting role in Swayamkrushi movie starring mega star Chiranjeevi and Vijayashanti. On the other hand, Ambarish too was a famous Kannada actor who later turned a politician. The duo entered into wedlock in 1991 and have a son named Abhishek.
