Power crisis: Projects must get adequate water

The water levels must increase in the projects to tide over the present power crisis. Unless adequate water reaches the Hydro power projects, the frequent power outage cannot be avoided. The Central Power Distribution Company of AP limited, Managing Director Ananth Ram said that unless water reaches the projects adequate power supply will not be possible. The officer responded to the representation of small scale industry group, which complained that the power outage is ruining their survival. He also said that the Gas power plants that were used continuously in summers have been facing a maintenance problems and the water projects were awaiting their share of water.

Earlier during the day, Federation of Andhra Pradesh Industry (FAPI) felt that the state government incapability resulted in the power crisis in the state. The FAPI that met today in the city discussed the various issues of competency faced by the industrial segment due to the power outage. (With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
