Passport online application made easy
Here's some good news to all those computer illiterates who had to throng Internet cafes and approach mediators for filling up passport applications online. The online applications would now be filled at any e-seva centres hereafter. One has to, however, pay Rs. 100 for filling online passport application at e-seva centres. The regional passport officer Srikar Reddy told the media about this new facility.
Stressing on the pains of aged persons for filing online passport applications, Srikar Reddy has said that people earlier used to fork out around Rs. 500 for getting their online applications duly filled at Internet cafes. He has also said that employees at e-seva centres would fill even fill up police clearance certificate on paying another Rs. 50.
This new facility would be available only to those who have crossed 60 years of age, who are below 5 years, physically challenged persons, state and central government employees.
