Devotee offers 10-kg golden feet to Lord Balaji

Sri Venkateshwara Swamy in Tirumala has got 10 kgs of golden feet and 12 kgs of silver seat from a devotee. The anaonymous devotee from West Godavari district has donated such huge amounts of gold and silver to Tirumala deity. The sources said that the anonymous person was a close aide of TTD chairman Kanimuri Bapiraju. The official sources at the TTD said that the estimated cost of this gift was approximatively four crore rupees.
It may be noted that scores of devotees give huge offerings to Lord Sri Venkateshwara Swamy as a token of love. There were even instances wherein anonymous devotees wrapping crores of rupees in a paper and putting them in the hundi.
