YSR Jayanti, reality dawns on leaders
Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy participated in the ongoing YSR Jayanthi. CM garlanded the huge bronze statue of the former Chief Minister Late Y S Rajashekar Reddy at the Punjagutta junction in Hyderabad. Congress was seriously contemplating over the issue whether or not to partcipate in the ongoing YSR Jayanti. But the byelections debacle for sledging the leader who still hold an elite spot in the hearts of the people, seems to be too much for the ruling party. Sources say that the reality atlast has dawned on the ruling party as the late leaders single handeddly brought the party back to power in 2009.
Such was the impact of the former Chief Minister who was said to be the `Rajanna' of the masses, across the state. Several Congress leaders paid rich tributes to former chief minister at his statue in Panjagutta crossroads on the occasion of his 63rd birth anniversary. However the occassion was much jubilantly celebrated by the YSR Congress party leaders. But the celebrations were dampened due to the YSRCP Chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy being in the judicial custody, in the disproportionate assets case. (With inputs from internet- AW AarKay)
