CM Kiran pushes 4 names for information commissioner posts

The chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has pushed in the names of four persons for the posts of information commissioners in the state. The chief minister has sent this file to the Governor of Andhra Pradesh Kiran Kumar Reddy. The CM has stated that all the four candidates, who have been proposed for the coveted posts doesn’t have any remarks against them in the past.

It may be recalled that the State Government had actually sent the names of eight persons earlier to the Governor. The file was returned to the chief minister’s office from the Raj Bhavan raising objections against some of the name mentioned.

On receiving the file, the chief secretary Pankaj Dwivedi has sought the permission of from the Election Commission as the model code of conduct is active in 18 assembly constituencies where by-polls would be conducted shortly. As soon as the Election Commission gives approval, they would give permission to the government, added Dwivedi.

The revised four names in the list include veteran journalist, P Vijaya Babu, former IPS officers S Prabhakar Reddy and M Ratan, and Indian Forest Service office Madhukar Raj. (Phani)
