The Vijayawada Congress MP Lagadapati Rajagopal has reiterated that the firm decision on Telangana issue would be announced at any point of time by the Centre in August this year. Although other parties are escaping from the scene, the Congress party has been fulfilling its duty and it would come out with a solution to the problem, he added.
Talking about the by-polls, Lagadapati Rajagopal has said that the Government had launched n number of schemes for the public and developmental programmes. In case the government takes those programmes in to the public then chances of party’s victory in all the 18 assembly constituencies are very bright.
He has also said that they have decided to take out padayatras in all the constituencies where elections are scheduled to take place. He, however, mentioned that the terms and conditions of padayatra are yet to be frame.
Lashing out at the opposition parties, Lagadapati has said that the YSR Congress, BJP and TRS entered into a secret agreement and the votes casted on them would just go waste. He has also condemned the news that Congress and TDP have teamed up. The opposition parties are yet to come out with defending statements on the same. (Phani)
