The prime accused in the murder of Maddelacheruvu Suryanarayana Reddy alias Suri, Bhanu Kiran was arrested by the police in Zaheerabad of Medak district on April 21. He is likely to be produced before the court on Monday. The CID, which has confirmed the same, has said that Suri would be produced before the media on Saturday evening.  Suri was murdered on January 3, 2011. Bhanu Kiran case was shifted to CID from CCS in April 2011.

Bhanu Kiran was said to be the close friend of Gangula Suryanarayana Reddy. He was reportedly taking care of Suri’s businesses when Suri was in jail. Bhanu Kiran, who was like a right hand of Suri, knew each and every aspect of Suri including all his properties and their values. He was apparently the bimani of the properties of Suri.

When Suri was released, he reportedly pressed Bhanu to transfer the properties that were on his name besides he even presumably threatened Bhanu of dire consequences just like one of the close aides Moddu Seenu faced. Fearing the same, Bhanu apparently murdered Suri and gave a slip to the police. Since then police had been searching Bhanu to find out the main reason behind the murder of Suri.

We now have to wait and watch whether Bhanu will reveal any big names from the political field behind the murder. Bhanu’s arrest is undoubtedly a major breakthrough.
