The CBI special court today adjourned till Feb 9 further hearing on the bail petition of Koneru Rajendra Prasad, accused in the Emaar-APIIC land scam.

The court also reserved its order on the bail petition of suspended IAS officer Mr BP Acharya after counsel for the CBI completed its arguments today. The CBI custody of Sunil Reddy, accused in the Emaar scam has ended today.

Meanwhile, the CBI sleuths conducted searches in the houses and premises of Sunil Reddy today once again and recovered some key documents, according to sources.

IAS officials should turn approvers

TDP MLC Mr Rajendra Prasad demanded the two suspended and jailed IAS officers to turn approvers in the illegal mining and Emaar-APIIC land scams and reveal the history of the scams involving the ministers and others.

He suggested to the CBI to interrogate IAS officer MGVK Bhanu to get the full details of all scams revealed publicly. (JUBS)
