A pall of gloom descended on the neighborhood of Malkajgiri in Secunderabad today with four members of a family committing suicide in their house.
Atluri Nageswara Rao, 60, wife Vijayalakhmi 52, son Balaji, 32 and Balaji wife Prasanna, 25 committed suicide, according to reports.
While Nageswara Rao, Vijayalakshmi and Prasanna consumed poison and their three bodies were found in a room, Balaji’s body was found hanging to the ceiling fan in another room. Locals said the family has run into financial problems recently and Mr Balaji was going without a job for the past few months.
Police have registered a case and are investigating. (JUBS)
