Did not steal 'Lingaa' script

Tamil filmmaker KS Ravikumar has denied the allegations made on him of stealing the script of the film 'Lingaa' from an upcoming director KR Ravi Rathinam. In response to the writ petition filed on 'Lingaa' movie, director Ravikumar filed a counter affidavit in the Madras High Court on Tuesday and stated that said the script was penned by S. Ponkumaran of Chennai, who had registered himself with the South Indian Film Writers’ Association in 2010 under the title ‘King Khan.’

Further Ravikumar added that the petitioner filed the case against Lingaa movie with wrong intentions of gaining undue publicity and harass the filmmakers and force us to pay ransom. Also he expressed concern that the movie is being made with heavy investments and has many people hard work in it.

Ravikumar's statement will be heard on Wednesday by by Justice M. Venugopal. Meanwhile Lingaa which had its music launch recently, is gearing up for a massive release on December 12. Eros International and Rockline Entertainments have jointly produced Lingaa which has Rajinikanth, Sonakshi Sinha and Anushka Shetty in the lead roles.
