Rs 800 crores for Election ads

Politically, Maharashtra state is vital for whichever government that occupies the national capital. With the super victory in the May elections, BJP is putting severe efforts to be the champion of Maharashtra while the Congress party is leaving no stone to defend its government for the fourth consecutive time. Shiv Sena, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena [MNS] parties are going to be vital for the government formation.

According to the reports, all the major parties which are contesting alone this time have spent about Rs 700-800 crores for the election advertisements and campaign. Leading the race is, BJP which alone is spending more than Rs 300 crore on advertising, while Congress, Nationalist Congress Party [NCP] and the Shiv Sena spent around Rs 80-100 crore each. Only the Raj Thackeray led MNS, among the important parties, did not participate in the advertisement, instead wants to go as it is, keeping the blind trust on people.

The BJP and the Shiv Sena have launched separate ad campaigns for the first time, created by Soho Square and Concept Advertising respectively. With the deadline for the campaign ends today evening, the parties are making last minute efforts to see they land on the victory side.
