The 2014 Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic has married his pregnant fiancee Jelena Ristic in an upscale resort on the Adriatic coast in Montenegro on Thursday. The ceremony was attended by family, friends and guests while the media was kept away.
Djokovic and Ristic were high school mates and were in relation for the past eight years now. The couple are also expecting a baby soon and Djokovic himself made it official during the presentation of the Wimbledon trophy. He dedicated the victory saying, “I want to dedicate this win to my going to be wife and future baby.”
The wedding event was a highly confidential one and all the employee of the resort were asked to sign an agreement and not to capture photos of the nuptials. The media were also asked not gather at the resort claiming it to be a private and family affair.
Six-time Grand Slam champion Boris Becker was the outsider in the wedding and reports also say that Andy Murray was also present.
Djokovic and Ristic got engaged in September 2013, anyways wishing the couple all the very best!
