A 61 year old Indian has been arrested on the charges of kissing and groping a sleeping woman on a Newark-bound United Airlines flight on Sunday. The accused is identified as Raminder Singh who lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
The victim woman claimed that she had fallen asleep in a window seat and when she woke up, she found Mr. Singh kissing her and putting his hand down her shirt. She pushed Mr. Singh away and alerted the cabin crew. The woman demanded to meet the cops as soon as the flight lands and according the cabin crew took action.
Mr. Singh was taken into custody by the FBI when the flight from Houston landed and has been charged with abusive sexual contact and appeared in federal court in New Jersey on Monday.
If found guilty, Mr. Singh could face two years of imprisonment and a $250,000 fine, said the authorities.
