Jana Sena gets EC approval

Actor turned politician Pawan Kalyan who established Jana Sena Party got an official recognition from the chief Election Commission of India. Under section 29A of the Representation of People Act, 1951, EC approved Jana Sena party and the party will have to follow the norms under section 29B and 29C of the same act which are applicable to all the political parties in the country.

Pawan Kalyan has laid his application for registration before the Election Commission during the May annual elections. However, the poll panel seeks objections from the general public and this process would take at least three or four months to get a formal acceptance.

With this, the hurdles were cleared for Pawan's Jana Sena who wanted to contest the local body elections in Hyderabad. Also we have to see whether Pawan will full-fledgedly focus on politics or not. Post the elections, Pawan has stayed away from politics as he was busy with professional career.
