The Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy who was to meet Group of Ministers (GoM) today evening at 8.00 as per the original plan is asked to meet on 18th.

GoM has invited the Attorney General of India Vahanavati to take legal advice on Article 371 D of the Indian Constitution that is obstructs the path of bifurcation at present form unless an amendment is made. 

GoM wants to know whether introduction of a single Bill of formation of Telangana is enough or a separate Bill is needed for 371 D. 

In the meanwhile the petitions filed by TDP and YSRCP in Supreme Court regarding the Article 371 D are pending in the court which will come to court for hearing on 18th.

GoM is going have a round of talks with the Attorney General Gulam Vahanvati, Secretary Union Law Ministry B.A.Agarwal and Secretary for Assembly Affairs P.K.Malhotra today.

GoM is also going to meet with the Secretaries of Finance, Railways, Law and Employees’ Affairs departments.
