A two day Beach Festival at Bapatla is being organized starting from today. The festival is organized every year and this time the Union Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi took interest to make it a grand show. A sum of Rs.12.00 lakhs was sanctioned from Tourism Department for conducting the festival on the banks of Surya Lanka near Bapatla.
The Union Minister for the State for Petroleum and Natural Gas Panabaka Lakshmi is the Chief Guest in the festival. She will start the boat race and other cultural programs today.
The Union Minister for Tourism Chiranjeevi and PCC President Botsa Satyanarayana will attend the function tomorrow. An All India Crafts exhibition cum sale is also opened at Surya Lanka for its publicity and also direct sales of the products of the artisans.
