Centenary Celebrations of Chandra Rajeswara Rao

Today is 100th birth day of Chandra Rajeswar Rao former Secretary to the Communist Party of India (CPI) Central Committee during the years 1950 and 1951 and was the Secretary for the National Council in 1964.   He joined the CPI in 1931 and worked for the party in various positions.

Chandra Rajeswara Rao was born on 6th June 1914 in Mangalapuram in a rich farmer family.  He had medical education in Banaras Hindu University and Andhra University.  He wrote many articles on politics and economic related problems prevailing in India.

He fought against the Nizams who were against Telangana in the armed fight of farmers.  He started a revolt against Challapalli Zamindar.  He dedicated his life to the Communist party fighting for the people.   CPI State Secretary Narayana said that the life of Chandra Rajeswara Rao to be taken as an ideal one and his centenary should be celebrated throughout the year.

The Centenary celebrations that are conducted at Sundaraiah Vignan Bhawan in Bagh Lingampalli Hyderabad will be participated by the State and Central leaders of the Communist Party to remember him and pay homage to the leader of the united Communist Party for 25 years.
