What is the fate of liquor scam?

Early in the morning we bring you news that is sure to keep you in high spirits. From January 1, nearly 50 new liquor shops are to open in unrepresented areas by the government. Looks like the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy has given approval in this regards.

Off late there seems to be less noise over the alleged liquor scam in the state and in media. The high profile scam which had A-listers like some top ministers, was rumoured to be vindictive against the PCC Chief Botsa Sathyanarayana by none other than the CM. The growing indifference  between them was the main reason for this one to spread like wild fire. However after the intervention of the high command things between the two senior leaders of the state had been amicably settled.

And to the wonder of the 'aam adhmi', the scam issue also came to a standstill in the media. Was it a coincidence are is there a co-relation between the two issues?

Nevertheless, initially many names figured in the grapevine, in actual when the charge-sheet was filed none of them were listed This was another point of astonishment!

And secondly nearly 840 people from the excise department were supposed to be directly or indirectly involved in the issue. Is it practically possible to prosecute them enmasse?

Will not the department be handicapped for sometime with so many in problems. That simply means that the issue will be further delayed and at least till a new tussle between the top leaders does not  brew up, in the near future. (Wishesh AarKay)
