The chief electoral officer, Banwarlal has sought the blessings of Goddess Durga Mata at Indrakeeladri temple in Vijayawada on Friday. Today being Sri Krishna Janmashtami, Banwarlal along with his wife arrived at Vijayawada temple. The temple authorities have grandly received the couple. Later, they explained the developmental works at the temple to Banwarlal.

It may be noted that on account of Janmashtami today, scores of devotees thronged the temple. The temple police stopped four wheelers from reaching the hillock for about two hours due to heavy rush.
