28 Casualties in TN Exp: Muniappa

The union minister of state for railway  Muniappa has said that the casualties in Tamil Nadu Express mishap were just 28. He made these statements at Tirumala. Notably, Mr. Muniappa has taken part in Suprabhata Seva (awakening of Lord) at Tirumala today.  Later he spoke to the media and clarified the doubts regarding casualties and injured persons in Tamil Nadu Express mishap at Nellore the other day.

Muniappa has said that the kin of the deceased would get Rs. Five lakh exgratia from the Centre while the injured persons would be given government jobs. Answering to one of the questions, Miniappa has said that the expert committee would decide whether S 11 bogie caught fire due to short circuit or explosives on train. He has even assured that in another two months necessary steps would be taken to put a check to train accidents in another two months.
