Police seize 12,437 SIM cards

The Gujarat police have recovered as many as 12,437 SIM cards from three persons who allegedly tried to sell those cards on fake documents. The police inspector of crime branch team, RR Sarvaiya has said that they have raided the premises of SIM card vendors in Vatva and Isanpur areas. There they found three vendors having such huge number of SIM cards.

Notably, scores of SIM cards would not be allotted to vendors. The police said, in fact, this was the biggest ever seize of SIM cards in the country.

The police have also said that these SIM cards were allegedly used for all illegal purposes. The police have also taken three vendors - Ramesh Bhatia, Bahvin Soni and Sumit Patel into the custody.
