Telugu Desam Party (TDP), which is looking into the measures that are to be taken for ensuring victory in 2014, has decided for giving 100 MLA tickets to BCs. The party want to bank on BC votes. The party has also decided that in case TDP comes to power, Rs.10000 crore would be allotted for the welfare of BCs. Further, the party said it would exert pressure on the Centre for alloting 33 per cent quota for BCs in legislature.

It may be noted that TDP drew blank in the recently concluded bypolls, which has apparently shocked the party leaders. The political experts said BCs vote bank is crucial for many political parties.
