Jagan men flock to Hyderabad to show solidarity

With rumours ruling the roost that YSR congress party president Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy is likely to be arrested in the next twenty four hours in the illegal assets case, tension gripped Guntur district today where Jagan has been conducting his Odarpu Yatra.

As Jagan is also scheduled to come back to Hyderabad late in the night and then leave for East Godavari district tomorrow morning, YSR Congress leaders and activists are reaching Hyderabad to show their solidarity to Jagan in case he is arrested.

Already, agitated YSRCP activists had an argument with police on Amaravathi Road in Guntur this evening. Guntur town looked like a security fortress with hundreds of policemen taking up positions in the wake of the filing of charge sheet in the court this evening in the Jagan case.

In Hyderabad also, security was beefed up at key and sensitive points and at media houses as a precautionary measure in the event of arrest of Jagan.

However, it is not known whether Jagan will be taken into custody at Guntur or in Hyderabad after his arrival from Guntur. (J)
