CM on cases against T employees and students

The last year had seen strong movements of Telangana to be carved out of unified Andhra Pradesh state. The political parties agitated in this regards and many cases were booked on students and employees. Today in the assembly the oppositions demanded withdrawal for all cases as assured by the government earlier. The Telugu Desam Party President N Chandrababu Naidu made the demand after the Deputy Speaker gave the green signal for discussion.  He expressed that with these cases on the students still pending, it would affect their chances to get a job.

TRS Leader Etela Rajendar said that the police had opened rowdy-sheeter files on a few students and the students had to report to Police station every day. With the exams on the anvil it becomes really problematic for the students said the leaders. Hence the leader requested the government to immediately withdraw the impending cases against students. He also requested the Home Minister to issue a notification in this regards.

The Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy replying to the demand was positive on the issue. CM assured that considering the distress created to the student all cases would be withdrawn as per the earlier commitment. Adding that the government, was equally keen on the issue. However the CM said with regards to the impending cases on the employees there are some legal issues to address the withdrawal. Keeping that in mind few cases on the employees are not possible to be withdrawn. Subsequently the Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy also assured about the withdrawal of cases against the students.
