Parties intensify campaign as deadline draws near

With just one day left for the campaign to end for the March 18 by- polls in the seven assembly constituencies in the state, Chief Minister Kirankumar reddy, TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu and  YSR Congress party President Mr YS Jaganmohan Reddy participated in brisk campaigning today for their respective parties.

While Kirankumar and Naidu intensified the campaign in Telangana constituencies, Jagan spent more hours today campaigning for his party’s candidate Nallapureddy Prasanna kumar reddy in Kovur.

Chandrababu participated in a whirlwind campaign on behalf of his party candidates in Station Ghanapur and Nagarkurnool promising people that he would never speak against Telangana. “I never spoke against Telangana and I will never speak also in future,” he said and alleged that Congress and the TRS have colluded with each other.

Kirankumar took up the campaign attacking the TDP and the TRS and claimed only Congress can solve the Telangana issue. “KCR only wants by polls for ever,” was the highlight of the CM’s campaign.

While this is the case with Kiran and Naidu, Jagan in his campaign in Kovur attacked both Congress and the TDP. “Kiran joined hands with Naidu to defeat Prasanna Kumar reddy,” he alleged. (J)
