Assembly adjourned for fourth day as TDP creates ruckus

For the fourth consecutive day today, TDP members stalled the scheduled business of the assembly on the issue of Supreme Court notices to the tainted ministers in Jagan properties case demanding for their immediate sacking or resignation.

Speaker Nadendla Manohar adjourned the house thrice briefly but finally adjourned it for tomorrow without transacting any business as the noisy scenes continued.

As soon as the house assembled in the morning, TDP members were on their feet raising slogans against the ministers and demanding for their sacking.

It might be mentioned that the assembly has not transacted any business since Monday as TDP and the two left parties, CPI and CPM, continued to raise the issue creating pandemonium in the house.

With CM Kirankumar reddy preferring to take up campaigning on behalf of party candidates for the March 18 by polls, the ministers found it difficult to reply to the opposition demand in the assembly.

While the six ministers who were served with notices said they would react only after receiving and going through the contents, the government has been consulting the legal experts to find out means to come out of the imbroglio. (J)
