Finance minister Anam Ramnarayana Reddy couldn’t complete his budget speech today in the assembly as he took ill midway because of low BP. Minister Ponnala Lakshmaiah continued the budget reading from where the Finance Minster stopped.

Ramnarayana Reddy completed reading the budget pages continuously for nearly an hour when he showed symptoms of tiredness and giddiness. Observing this, Speaker Nadendla Manohar asked him to sit down in his chair.

On Speaker’s suggestion, Ponnala continued the budget speech but in the end, Ramnarayana came back and completed the budget presentation. Later, it was revealed in the medical examinations that the finance minister suffered from low BP.

After Anam completed the speech, Speaker adjourned the house till Feb 21. Earlier, legislative council was also adjourned till Feb 21.
