Congress party president Sonia Gandhi informed the Telangana congress MPs that the Centre would announce its decision on the issue of Telangana after completing the discussions with the UPA partners.

The congress MPs met Sonia Gandhi this morning in the Parliament Central Hall and urged her to take a decision on the formation of Telangana.

“The party core committee members are working on the issue seriously. They are also holding discussions with the UPA partners. Once the talks are over, the Centre can announce its decision,” she told them.

Reports said Sonia Gandhi asked the MPs to have patience on the issue till the high command completes the process of discussions. “Please pay your attention to the developmental issues in your region till the decision is announced,” she told them, adding that she had asked the CM Kirankumar reddy also to concentrate on development as the decision is awaited.(JUBS)
