The CBI which started the evaluation of the mansion of the YSR congress chief Mr YS Jaganmohan reddy at Lotus Pond in the Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad is said to have estimated its value to be around Rs.85 Cr. However, the estimates are rough and the value may go up further.
The CBI officials, along with the officials of the NRSA, IT and GHMC, visited the house on Thursday for its valuation. Even today also, the teams are continuing with their work in the Jagan house to come to a conclusion.
CBI sources said that Jagan must have spent Rs.25 Cr for purchasing the land and another Rs.60 Cr towards the construction of the building making it a total project of Rs. 85 Cr. The mansion was built on a land of 5807 square yards with a built up area of 88,000 square feet.
The officials have taken into account the furniture in the three-piece structure, interior decorations and flooring in the valuation process. At the end of the valuation, the estimated value of the building may go up further, according to sources.
