Cong, PRP workers come to blows

chiruMega star Chiranjeevi had the first taste of the congress culture on his 57th birthday today as the congress activists almost came to blows with the erstwhile PRP workers on extending him a warm welcome when he arrived at the Begum airport in Hyderabad this morning from Delhi.

Both congress and PRP activists tried to dominate each other to welcome him at the airport resulting in a push-push situation. They pushed and jostled against each other and almost came to blows in their penchant to show supremacy in welcoming the mega star.

Reports said PRP leader Mr Feroz Khan was even manhandled by the ferocious congress workers who did not allow him to go near the mega star.

Later, Chiru was taken to the Gandhi Bhavan in a rally by the congress workers. The mega star had successfully formalized the merger of his party with the congress on August 20 when he took the congress membership in the presence of party general secretary Rahul Gandhi in Delhi.
