After a lull in the attacks on the Tollywood film units, the Telangana activists revived their attacks on the film industry as part of their Telangana agitation today.

The pro-Telangana agitators, running into some hundreds, reached this morning the shooting spot of the film ‘Autonagar Surya’ at Shapur near Jeedimetla on the outskirts of Hyderabad and asked the film unit to stop the shooting.

The agitators, raising pro-Telangana slogans, ordered the unit to pack off immediately and leave the place. Young hero Naga Chaitanya is playing the lead role in the movie. Reports said that the young hero was also present during the shooting.

Eyewitnesses said that the film unit simply packed off and left the shooting spot with a view to avoid confrontation with the Telangana activists.

It might be mentioned that the agitators attacked several Tollywood film units in the past and ensured that they had stopped the shooting as per their dictates.
