Jupally quits as MLA for T state

JupallyKrishnaRaoKollapur Congress MLA Mr Jupally Krishna Rao, who quit his minister’s post some months ago demanding the formation of Telangana state, quit his MLA post too today.

Jupally met the officials in the Assembly hall and handed over his resignation letter to Assembly Secretary Mr Sada Ram.

Earlier, he told journalists that he would not mind quitting the party in case the Centre doesn’t announce the formation of Telangana state. Reacting to the allegations that CM paid Rs.25 lakh each to 13 T congress MLAs for buying their loyalty, Jupally said that congress MLAs and Ministers should prove their sincerity by tendering resignations.

They are facing allegations because their activities are not in tune with the aspirations of the people, said Jupally Krishna Rao, adding that the resignations by congress MLAs and Ministers only could put a full stop to the mass general strike.
