Gautam Gambhir and Yuvraj Singh were not handed the BCCI annual contract for the season 2014-15. In the fresh contract list of players, many of the current squad got promotion and the biggest promotion was handed to seamer Bhuvneswar Kumar. He is promoted to Grade A while, Mohammed Shami, Ambati Rayudu, Ajinkya Rahane moved from Grade C to B.

Players, Varun Aaron, Stuart Binny, Pankaj Singh, Dhawal Kulkarni, Parvez Rasool, Akshar Patel, Robin Uthappa, Manoj Tiwary, Karn Sharma, Sanju Samson, Kuldeep Yadav, KL Rahul made to Grade C who were not part of last year contract.

Dinesh Karthik and Naman Ohja also missed out BCCI contract and players who are not part of BCCI contract will get a Grade C if they make debut at international arena.
