Mohammad Hafeez quits T20 captaincy

Pakistan's T20 captain Mohammad Hafeez has stepped down from his post citing the World Cup debacle. Hafeez met with the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board [PCB] on Thursday and took the responsibility of the team's poor performance.

Hafeez also resigned to vice captain posts of One Days and Test cricket however the PCB yet to take a final decision on this.

Speaking to the media Hafeez ruled out the pressure on him and said, “it was my own decision to step down from the captaincy. But I will represent the team in all formats and bat for the nation. It is upto the PCB to decide the future skipper and I did not suggest or recommend anybody's name.”
